When it was the end of 8th grade, I had to choose what high school to go to either Buena or Foothill. I really wanted to go to Buena because my best friend is going there, but my mom told me to try Foothill so I did and I actually liked it. But I wish my best friend could be here with me. When I applied I just wanted to see if I would get in and I did.
When I had to make the decision to go to Foothill or Buena it was really hard for me. I really wanted to go to Buena because my best friend Amanda goes there. I wanted to sign up to go here to see if I would get in because I heard it was a really good school. When I found out I got in I was so excited. After my friend Amanda told me that she’s going to Buena I told my mom I wanted to go there. It was a really hard decision for me. My mom told me just to try Foothill and if I don’t like it she will transfer me to Buena.
When summer was almost over we had to go to orientation. I was really nervous because I didn’t know if I was really going to know anyone. When I got there I saw some people I knew so I wasn’t freaking out anymore. After the orientation we got to meet our FIRE leaders. I really liked mine. They were really nice to everyone in the class and we played games. After they gave us candy. We got to go see all of our classes. I liked my teachers they seemed really cool. After the orientation was done I wasn’t as nervous to go to high school anymore. I wish my best friend could come here with me though.
Foothill for me now is good because I met new friends. My teachers are really nice and they don’t give me that much homework. I think all of my teachers like me but I’m not sure. A lot of my teachers are really nice and don’t give me homework on the weekends. I met a lot of new friends. I was scared I wasn’t going to meet any new friends but I did. Sometimes I regret not going to Buena with my best friend because she was the only person I hung out with and I barely see her now. But I think it was a good choice to come here.
